This section is under development and will be updated before the platform launch.

When you use the Finistry platform (app.finistry.co.uk), we collect and process additional information to provide our accounting services:

10.1 Financial Data

Through Open Banking integration, we access your bank transaction data to categorise expenses, calculate taxes, and provide accounting insights. We use authorised Open Banking providers and never store your bank login credentials.

10.2 Business Information

We collect information about your business including income sources, expense categories, tax status (self-employed, CIS subcontractor, landlord), and property details where applicable.

10.3 Documents and Receipts

When you upload receipts or documents, we process and store these securely to support your accounting records and tax returns.

10.4 WhatsApp Integration

If you use our WhatsApp assistant, we process messages you send to provide accounting support. Message content is processed securely and linked to your Finistry account. WhatsApp messages are processed solely to provide support and are not used for marketing or shared with Meta for advertising purposes.

10.5 Data Retention

We retain your financial data for the period required by UK tax regulations (typically 5 years after the relevant tax year). You can request deletion of your account and data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

10.6 Third-Party Services

The platform uses trusted third-party services including Open Banking providers, cloud hosting (UK/EU data centres), and payment processors. All third parties are vetted for GDPR compliance and data security.
